Why isnt my sound coming out of my bluetooth headphones?

This happened a couple of days ago. I can connect my headphones to my laptop but the sound only comes out of the speakers and not my headphones. I've tried resetting my laptop and switching the output device but it doesn't show my headphones as an option. I have also tried costumer support but that also lead no where.
