Why is WMP not recognizing some of my WPL files even after I included the Playlists folder with the WPL files in the WMP library?

Why did WMP stop recognizing the WPL files I've been using just because I had deleted them from the WMP library without deleting the files from the computer, why am I not able to add them back into the WMP library, and why is it still recognizing old WPL files that I don't even want? I am able to create new WPL files, they do appear in the Playlists folder, but all the old WPL files in the same Playlists folder are being treated like they don't exist at all, even after I included that Playlists folder in the WMP library. WHAT SEEMED TO CAUSE THE PROBLEM...I had previously deleted all the WP
