HI. I made a boot disk and wanted to test it. I went to the BIOS to change the boot order and there are 3 options that come up on the first screen. The 1st one is a pic of an hdd. That's my internal hdd. The 2nd and 3rd are both pics of an optical drive. One of them has UEFI written along the bottom of the pic while the other doesn't. I read about UEFI and I know it replaces the old fashioned BIOS, it provides protection against certain types of malicious code, and it supports HDDs bigger than 2.2 TB...Fine, so why does it appear as part of a pic for the DVD drive boot option? It would make more sense if it was written on the pic of the hdd because that's where Windows is.
Since UEFI is going to replace the BIOS, does that mean we'll be saying things like "Boot to the UEFI and change the boot order"?
Thanks
