Why is the "To-Do" section in focus sessions loading?

I would like to add a task to my focus session so I can try and stay on track with school. I am signed in so that I would be able to add a task but there’s this big blue loading symbol continuously circling. I can see the add a take button but when I click it nothing happens. I’ve restarted the computer and reset the app (the terminate button doesn’t work either) and it’s still loading. Someone please help.
