Why is the cumulative updates not letting me stop them when they are automatically installed and messing my computer up taking me to the "cant repair"

This is pissing me off. Im at a point where I can't turn my computer off without it messing things up. I was told windows 11 was great and now all its done is mess everything up for me. These cumulative updates are ruining my pc everytime they download. There are other updates i need but can't do without it messing my pc up. This is becoming ****. I'm about to hire someone to set me up on another operating system if this isn't resolved.
