Cmd closes when it asks me to press a key to continue

I am trying to mine a cryptocurrency where the command prompt asks me to press a key to continue, when i do , the program shuts down and closes. I am uncertain whether this is a problem with windows or i havent got some sort of application installed. In the image attatched is what it shows up with before i press a key. After, cmd closes.
