Why is my screen rotated after Windows update?

After every single windows update, my laptop goes into portrait mode. I am able to change it back to landscape, but I want to know why this is happening and if I can stop it. I am in windows 11 on a 2-in-1 laptop. I have already turned on rotation lock yet it keeps happening, I want to know what else I can try.
