Why is my Microsoft Windows not responding when I play Rust?

Everytime I play a game called "Rust", my game freezes then an error pops up "Microsoft Windows not responding...". I'll try and open task manager but it is unresponsive too. Eventually my screen turns gray and my pc restarts itself.The first few times this happened, I'll play rust for maybe 10 minutes then the game freezes, the error popping up was "Windows Explorer not responding...". Again, I'll try to end Rust process via task manager but it wont open up. I'll try to open google chrome, or anything on my task bar and its unresponsive.
