Why is my laptop (Compaq Presario C700) showing blank screen?

Laptop is Compaq Presario C700. Its an old model. I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate using a bootable pendrive. It was working fine but now all of a sudden it just shows blank screen. From the moment I press power button, it just shows blank screen (It doesnt even show Compaq logo on the startup). I can hear the windows music when logging in but its just blank screen. I tried choosing BIOS option on the startup by pressing F10 but it gives me a beeping sound.Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my laptop?
