Why is music (e.g. YouTube, Spotify) muffled although speaking or singing is clear when Zoom or Teams is on?

Hello! I’ve been having this problem since purchasing an ACER Aspire 5. Whenever I’m in a meeting on Zoom or Teams, the music that I play directly from my laptop or apps on YouTube and Spotify get muffled except for the speaking or singing. It’s like Zoom or Teams is cancelling the background music except for the singing or speaking. I’ve adjusted Zoom settings to no avail. Appreciate any advice please. Thanks.
