Why is copying and pasting not working properly?

[Windows 10]

Hi all. I’m using Windows 10 and the Open Office software.The issue I’m having is copying and pasting from file names to a text document on open office. When I copy or cut a file name and attempt to paste it in the text document, the Paste option does not appear. I have to copy or cut it at least 2 or 3 times to get it to work, which is really frustrating.I have tried to install an older version of Open Office, but the same thing happens again.Does anyone know why this issue is happening or what I can do to fix it?
