Why is control panel listing Google applications?

I'm in the process of cleaning up my computer to see if I can get it to go a little bit faster. I noticed that in my control panel it shows Google Drive, YouTube, Docs, Gmail, Sheets Etc. These things were not listed in control panel previously. Can I delete them? Do I need to keep them there? How will this affect my computer if I remove/ Uninstall from the control panel? I have Windows 10.
