Why has the Windows development group deleted the "Sync" option in the Media Player 12 Legacy ? !!

Why has the Windows development group deleted the "Sync" option in the Media Player 12 Legacy top righthand menu bar? That sync option was invaluable/essential in transferring playlists from Windows Media Player 12 Legacy to attached android cell phone using VLC Media Player!!!!
