Why Doesn't "Preferred Band" pop up on my wireless LAN card?

Recently, I got new internet which supported 5ghz, since my PC supports both 2.4ghz (the one i was on before) and 5ghz i wanted to switch to 5ghz for better speeds because on another device with 5ghz switched on i was getting 370mbps and only around 20-30mbps on my PC. So i naturally searched it up and tried every solution and it didn't work. The only closest one was about changing the setting of preferred band but like the title says, it didn't pop up and i found a solution that said to change your wireless mode which didn't show up either so now I'm stumpted.
