Why does WLAN Autoconfig create a delay in the playback of an audio?

I was diagnosing an issue with my computer, where it would hang for 10-15 seconds before playing an audio or youtube video. It ran perfectly fine after the initial issue. I discovered the problem with it was the WLAN autoconfig through the msconifg app. The only problem with disabling WLAN autoconfig is that my laptop won't connect to WIFI. I tried re enabling it and going on airplane mode and the problem would resolve. Is there anyway I can keep my internet connection without the 10-15 seconds of hanging before it plays?
