A problem I encounter frequently with Windows File Explorer is it freezing for ~10-30 seconds upon opening a directory with lots of media (e.g. ogg, mp4) files. File Explorer will automatically load in columns for videos or music where appropriate, but if the media files themselves don't contain any of the metadata that it's looking for, File Explorer will freeze for up to half a minute.
