Why does my windows security pop up every time I try to sign into the Wi-Fi?

The university Wi-Fi I was connected to was working fine the last 5-6 days and then last night, suddenly, I was no longer able to access it. When I tried to sign back in using my school sign in username & password, a notification saying action needed & windows security popped up telling me I needed to sign in. So, I signed into my windows account but to no avail. I’ve tried everything and nothing has worked. Please help.
