Why does my computer just keep freezing up and getting more storage after a week of use?

Hey, I got a laptop Windows HP laptop at Walmart and when I got home it set it up and stuff i got used to it after a few days it started to freeze and say that i needed more storage and disc drive it full but i did not download lots of things and i tried to fix it by deleting some not in used apps, but yet it didn’t clear up and I don’t know what to do with it it’s been about four months since since I got it…
