Why does microsoft account link work in Edge but not DuckDuckGo browser?

[Windows 10]

I have no problems with duckduckgo browser. I am able to log into my outlook mail, but even from there, when already logged in, I am unable to access my microsoft account. Everything works fine in Microsoft Edge. Sometimes I get error message that I cannot sign in with a personal account, and that it must be a work or school account (which I have neither) on both browsers. Accessing microsoft accounts has become annoying.
