Why did my 32" TCL Roku TV and my HP PC stop talking to each other?

Hello Microsoft friends,This is a hardware/software/system situation:I have an HP Computer with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz and a 32" Roku TV. They have been connected for 3 yrs, then something has caused them to not talk. They are connected with an HDMI to an adapter for the pc. I have switched the HDMI cord From 1 to 2 along with the TV, I don't have another HDMI cord to check but I've tried everything else. Diagnostics and Troubleshooters don't give me a solution. Now Windows 10 is leaving, our computers are not compatible. So we have to but 2 new computers? Can I just
