Why did Microsoft remove the option to ungroup the taskbar in Windows 11? Are they going to implement it in the short term or not?

Why did Microsoft remove the option to ungroup the taskbar in Windows 11? Are they going to implement it in the short term or not? It seems that Microsoft doesn't want the user to be aware of open windows for some reason.

the taskbar is fixed at the bottom of the screen, and there are no built-in options to relocate it to the top, right, or left sides of the screen
