Why Can't We Use Completely Random USERNAMES for Added Security???

This is the 2025, right? Given the incredible increase in identity theft from just 2023 to 2024, alongside the rapid uptick in hacked accounts of institutions of every stripe, it seems like a no-brainer that Microsoft would let us use 1990s technology to "completely" safeguard our Microsoft accounts. Yes, I'm talking about randomized custom usernames along with our random custom passwords, two-step verification, and the Authenticator app. On any given day I can have as many as five dozen attempts on my Microsoft account from places like China, Russia, India, Brazil, etc. And that's because, by
