why can't i update? and i dont have the setting to adjust my brightness and my mic. i also cant connect to any Bluetooth since there is no on and off

one day suddenly i cant adjust my laptop brightness cause there is no button for it same thing goes for my Bluetooth. They say its cause i dont update but when i want to update my windows it keep on failing.and i just realise when i was in a zoom that i cant turn my mic onwith or without headsetplease help me thank you
