Why can't I start my anti virus protection?

I was trying to turn on my virus protection but found out it was snoozed. I went to services and saw that it was disabled so I tried to turn it back on but it won't even let me click on the action. I downloaded something to snooze it a while back and I'm pretty sure I deleted it out of my files. Is there an extra step or another place I need to look at to delete the rest of it? If/once I do, what do I need to do to get it back on if that doesn't work?
