Why cant I sign in when my account exists

So I put in my correct email address on Microsoft which is j********** Email address is removed for privacy *** and it says that account doesn't exist. I have been using this same login for years and had no problems with it until a couple months ago. I tried creating a new account with the same email as j********** Email address is removed for privacy *** and it says it already exists. Now I can't play any games I connected to my Microsoft account with. Help me get my account back, thanks.
