Why can’t I see my added internal HD in file explorer? Can only see it in BIOS

Bought a new laptop (ASUS). Added a 2 TB internal HD and will only be viewed from bios. Had a friend fix the problem but didn’t watch what he did. Device manager and disk management will not show the HD either. Please help
