Why Can't I Download Anything From Microsoft Store?

I was about to play an mp4 video on my PC when I received a notification telling me that it can't play it. After looking for a fix on Google I watched a YouTube video on how to fix the problem. I followed the instructions, restarted my PC only to discover that the app didn't exist on my PC anymore after I had chose to 'Reset' it as instructed along with 'Run delete temp.' Now the only place I see Films & TV icon is when I click on the Start button and scroll down to Films & TV. From there I tried to uninstall the app but it won't do it.
