Why are my changes in registry editor gone after updating to Windows 11 via Windows Update

Hi!I have made changes on registry to call a certain app.I added it on registry path below.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunIt was working as expected while I was on Windows 10.However, when I updated to Windows 11 via Windows Update, the app is no longer called.When I checked the registry, the modification I did were gone.Why did the update delete my modification? Is there a way to retain it even after the update without reinstalling it after the update?Thank you very much in advance.
