Why are my bluetooth inputs so delayed

When I first connect my controller the controller behaves normally but after about 30 min it starts to get really delayed I make an input and it takes a second to go through and then it after about 5-10 min later my fps starts to drop a lot and lowering settings does nothing, but as soon as I plug the controller in everything goes back to normal. I have no idea what the problem could possibly be. Any help is appreciated
