Who is the owner of a picture

I received from a friend a disk containig several beautiful wild live pictures.

When another friend visited us I gave them a copy of these pictures. They

stayed with us for several days and left. Month later I received a picture

album with all these beatiful pictures as a gesture of appreciation. When I

showed it to my friend who made the pictures he was upset because he knows he

made them.

However on the details of the picture it does not show he is the owner. I

try to settele this but he might take legal action.

What to do now I had no wrong doing in mind
