White x on wifi symbol

My roommate got a new modem and I can’t connect to the new wifi and there’s a little white “x” on the wifi symbol. I can connect my phone to it and I can connect to my phones wifi. I’ve tried resetting my networks, checking network adapters, updating windows and my drivers and switching network adapter to auto. Nothings changed so far
