Answered. White x on volume icon in task bar. Fixed...Yes finally!Fnally fixed after 3 days and hours of YouTube fixes which didn'tfix problem! Have Windows 11 but should work in Windows 10 too.My daughter figured it out in 1 minute!My volume icon on task bar had a white (not red) x on it, no soundand wasn't able to raise sound. When right clicked said No audio device found or connected.Also Trouble shooter said No Output on and No input on and greyed out.So o o o I had put headphone cable into BACK of the desktop as it wouldn'twork in the FRONT.
