Where does print action get print setting if unchanged? from buffer or actual file? why A4 Landscape which I never used

I assume other printers share the same strange behavior. My printer suddenly print landscape for following settingsefaultCustomizedAutomaticProblem is forDFall printers in my location.Intermittent because above settings start to work againNot according to printer profile I found temporary fix is changing to manual orientation; why is the problem intermittent? It is difficult to stop printing after first page did not come up correctly. Environmentally speaking, this is causing much paper to recycle.
