When trying to install Windows, why does Microsoft keep sending me a 6 digit pin & when I enter it it says 7 digit pin required?

I built a new PC and I am trying to install Windows. When I am going through the setup process it sends me a pin to continue. When I enter the 6 digit pin I am told a 7 digit pin is required. I went through this for well over an hour after I keep having them resend a NEW pin, I keep getting sent a 6 digit ones. This is ridiculous.
