When renaming files, whole name is selected several times

I am trying to rename files on Windows 11, but I keep having the same problem. Whether I click on the rename button in the context menu or use F2, the whole file name starts selected (which is normal), but if I then use the arrow keys to move to the beginning or the end of the name, it will often reselect the entire name anyway. In this way, I end up overwriting file names that I only wanted to edit.
