When I switch from a full screen application my main monitor goes black for a second.

When I open up a full screen application (mainly games) my main monitor (m28u) goes black. I put the monitor at 144hz 4k. I am currently using the cable that got sent out with the monitor, so I assume that it is able to support the monitor. My other monitor is a somewhat older hp that can run up to 60hz and runs 1920x1080. Specs of my computer:RTX 3070AMD ryzen 5 7600ASROCK B650MI have already tried using another HDMI cable, although I am not certain that supports 144hz. Besides that I have also tried to use the displayport cable that came with the monitor, that did not work either. What seems
