I'm new to writing drivers, so my expectations may be wrong, but after successfully installing the IddSampleDriver (by right-clicking on the .INF file and choosing "Install") on my Windows 10 Pro x64 test machine, I run the corresponding sample test app: IddSampleApp.exe.
I was expecting a device to show up in Device Manager under Display adapters or Software devices, but it shows up under Other devices, and it's in an unconfigured/mis-configured state. The Device status is:
This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
This operation returned because the timeout period expired.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
Is this the expected behavior for the IddSampleDriver and App?
