When I press windows+shift+s, it should take a screen shot, and it does, but just automatically takes one of the whole screen. How do i stop this?

It hasn't always been like this, it used to work but suddenly it just automatically takes a screenshot of the whole screen, and I can't adjust to screenshot just the area I want to take a photo of.
