When I plug in my earbuds to my laptop I can't hear other tabs like YouTube or Spotify when playing any video game.

I'm able to hear other tabs perfectly fine without them connected, but the second I plug them in all the other tabs go mute. They still are playing because when I switch to them from the game I can see the time bar at the bottom move. I tried many things but nothing seems to work. This only started happening to me last week.
