when i double tap on the top left corner of my hp touchpad, yellow light does not appear.

when i tap the top left corner of my touchpad the amber light does not appear, but when i tap the top left corner of my touchpad in lock screen, it works! I wanted the amber light to work after i unlock the screen i.e. when i login to my computer.

please help me fix this.
