When I attempt to download a video game, my computer crashes. What can I do to fix this?

Over the last couple of weeks, I've tried everything to download/install games from Steam so that I can play them. I haven't had any issues with these games before, and have enjoyed them on this PC before, but for some reason whenever I try to download something now, my computer crashes. I was originally having this issue with Baldur's Gate 3 (143 GB), but have since discovered that while testing smaller games like Life is Strange (11 GB) will also have this issue. I have cleared caches, cleaned the physical PC, changed what drive the game files will be installed to, updated drivers, reset win
