What to use instead of Adobe Flash Player?

With the newest exploit of Flash Player.. it seems there is always some sort of vulnerability and problem with Adobe Flash.
I want to keep my system protected and I use Kaspersky Pure 3.0 and Malwarebytes.
Anyone know any alternatives I can use that is safe>
