what to do if my Windows Security Icon shows "Action recommended" and I am not able select any options

I have been using VPN and I did not noticed that there is a indication of "Action Recommended" in Windows Security Icon. I now tried to go in and update, but I am not able to select anything in Windows Security. How do I solve this problem? Any one can help?
