What is the mechanism linking the outlook signature files to the data folders?

The HTML files where Outlook (specifically the "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021" edition in my case) stores signatures are associated with a folder in a way I have not seen before. For instance, if I create a signature called "english" the following files are generated: "english.htm", "english.txt" and "english.rtf" Additionally, a folder named "english_files" is created. Now if I copy the file "english.htm" (and only this file) the folder "english_files" gets copied (automatically) with it as well (The same with moving).
