What is the best way I can assure that admin account is setup

I recently became unsure that admin account was setup properly in my case it was improper and lost admin rights. I want be sure that it is setup.To move these icons and files to standard account, and from here workout my daily tasks.What I think is a safe setup.Is to have a admin account and a standard account. Now I started working out from new installation OS this account.
