I posted this, slightly different, in a Vista newsgroup but
there is very little activity in it - perhaps that reflects
the relative popularity of Vista v XP![Smile :) :)](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png)
I have an HP laptop, wireless, that can connect without a
hitch to my XP Home Professional system (hardwired to the
router). I have another one, identical, that fails to
connect. When I try, there is a delay of about 10 seconds
followed by an error that tells me nothing and recommends
that I talk to my network administrator... That would be me.
Both laptops are running Vista Home Premium. They are the
same model, purchased at the same time (for my business).
Both have the same software installed and all the MS
updates. All three machines have the same user id and
password.
Any idea why one can connect and the other one can't?
TIA,
Jason
