Weird screens on my display

Hi there I logged onto my laptop today and noticed strange lines at the bottom of my display. At first it was a small line just at the border of my screen but now seems to be worst. Also at first I was able to shut my display off and on and it would go away but that doesn’t seem to work anymore. Also the top left hand of my screen seems to flash along with the lines at the bottom. I’m wondering if this could be a damaged display or perhaps something internal. Didn’t know what else to do so thought I would ask on hereThanks
