Weird problem: Ethernet won't connect unless WiFi connects first.

I bought a new PC (an Intel NUC mini PC) and plugged my Ethernet cable for my 1Gbps fiber optic service (which worked fine on my old computer) into the port. The new computer would not connect to it. After putting in the WiFi info, it connected to that, and after awhile, lo and behold, it connected to the Ethernet. And that's what it's been doing since. I've tried having WiFi not connect first, but the computer just sits there. It will not connect to Ethernet unless WiFi is connected first.I've checked the network adapter settings, and usually it says that the Ethernet cable is unplugged, whic
