I recently made a big hardware change. Before I do so I linked my microsoft account with my digital license on the old build. Now in my new PC I went to Activation settings and clicked troubleshoot, then clicked "I changed hardware on this device recently." afterwards It found my digital license and I clicked activate, since I'm already logged in my linked microsoft account. Shortly after an error popped up: We can’t reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later.
My account has administrator privileges. All in order. Installed all the updates. And I made sure It's the same Windows 10 Edition, yet this error keeps popping up. I'm suprised I've never managed to find an actual solution to this, hence adding this post. I read that microsoft live chat can help, but It didn't work as another error pops up too when I add my phone number to get a call from an employee.
This is really frustrating, I'm not buying a new license just because a vague error pops up without an error code or an explanation.
