WD19S docking station and display video driver issues

Having major issues with trying to use (NOW) 2 external (similar model Lenovo (T22i and T24i-20)) monitors with the Lenovo WD19S docking station, updated the WD19 firmware, replaced old disparate monitors, cabling, all to no avail. It seems the video/display driver is not ok. I see that the status light on the montiors change color when there is a signal and so, it also goes int power save on these monitors after less than 1 minute even though all power settings on LT are to never suspend or sleep...Using the USB 3.2 Gen 1 port on the Dell Latitude 5440 Laptop.
